About Sanstha COUNCIL OF EDUCATION

The Parvatidevi Kumbhar College is run by the Council of Education, Kolhapur.

The Council of Education was established in the year 1957 by great visionary, freedom fighter Deshbhakta Dr. Ratnappanna Kumbhar with vision to providing affordable quality education to the children of local farmer’s and laborers as those days no educational facilities were available in the Kolhapur town, rather in the district.  Initially the council started Law College, followed by commerce College and some schools.  All the educational institutes run by the Council of Education are leading institutions at National and International level.

The management of the Council of education is focused on providing quality education creating leading professional and nurturing good values among students through various activities.

After establishing name and fame in the field of commerce and law education, the council of education thought about the horizontal growth and diversified in the field of nursing education in the year 2022 and established Parvatidevi Kumbhar College of Nursing.  The college is recognized by Govt. of Maharashtra and affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik.  The first batch of B.Sc Nursing is admitted in A.Y 2023-24.

The college is named in the memory of Late Smt. Parvatidevi Kumbhar, better half of Dr. Ratnappanna Kumbhar.  She sacrificed her own life and family to support all the activities of Dr. Ratnappanna Kumbhar.

The focus of management of the Council is providing quality education in affordable cost, preparing good human beings, who can contribute in the development of society.

With this focus, The management is sure that the Parvatidevi Kumbhar College of Nursing will impart quality education, create professionally knowledgeable, skilled nurses and globally competent nurses and well as good human being.
